Progressing Through Corporate America!

The corporate world is such a life changing experience. The minute you enter the corporate world, you are being judged. Can you believe there is someone actually watching your every move and complaining about it? We all have our stories, but nothing is feels greater than making it out the mud. Our stories are what molds us into young bosses. I have worked for a few companies. I climb the ladder fairly quickly because I'm driven to keep going. I have so many goals, yet I feel so far. No matter what job or position I land, nothing excites me. I am not like 90% of America. I am not someone who enjoys working for others. I land these jobs/ careers, to learn and obtain knowledge. Study the way managers, supervisors, and bosses treat their employees and staff members. I watch the way certain people hold authority. I watch how nonwork related drama fills the work place through petty writeups and suspensions. I watch how kindness is turned to bitterness. I watch the harassment coming from top managers based on the look or appearance of other individuals. I watch how good workers are given more or less hours in an attempt to make an individual quit. The corporate world is full of bullies whom hide behind their titles. Growing up the way I did, I am often tested. People try to get under my skin with the pettiest things you can never imagine. They strongly believe this behavior will make me quit or react like any street raised individual would. I am far from an idiot. I am a firm believer that in order to survive this world you must have book and street smarts. I have sat in meetings with millionaires, and were well respected by them. No one understands my story or what I'm fighting for. I watch the way people move, as I notate their behavior. When starting my own business, I plan to catch and clean up these questionable behavior traits. I don't want this behavior represented in any of my businesses. One thing I learned about dealing with people, that if you don't fix the problem the first time, it grows into an even bigger problem over time. In order to be separated from the rest, you must progress while still remaining yourself. Don't believe others when they say you have to change everything about yourself. You could never change yourself, you can only progress into a better you. And if people don't like it, Fuck them and move on. For every individual that dislikes you for being you, there is 15 people that love you!
